Steps to Earning Endorsement

 

1) Inquire by contacting the Endorsement Coordinator at jhack@wiaimh.org.

2) Complete registration (online link coming soon) including the registration fee and WI-AIMH membership fee (new members only).

3) WI-AIMH will provide you with log in information to submit your portfolio on the web based server EASy.  WI-AIMH will assign an endorsement advisor to assist with the application process and review application materials.  Is strongly recommended you complete the Getting Started Form to help assess your experiences and determine what additional specialized training might be necessary to meet the competencies and earn WI-AIMH Endorsement (IMH-E®).  Your advisor can provide feedback and support within the EASy system before submitting your Professional Portfolio online.

4) Prepare and submit the completed professional portfolio on EASy along with mailing your official sealed transcripts WI-AIMH.  See Frequently Asked Questions for more information regarding the professional portfolio.

5) Review of completed professional portfolio by assigned endorsement committee members to qualify for Endorsement.

6) Administration of three-hour, written endorsement exam, offered twice a year, for Level III & IV candidates; exam includes multiple choice questions and clinical, policy or faculty/research vignettes to assess knowledge, skills and competencies.

7) Review of exam by assigned endorsement test review committee members.

8) Candidates will be notified of endorsement decision by phone and/ or e-mail.

9) Endorsement certificate signed and mailed along with feedback regarding professional portfolio (Levels I & II) or responses to vignettes in the qualitative portion of the exam (Levels III & IV).
